Robin SamoraAfter graduating early from the College of Communication at Boston University, Robin pursued “work” with the same enthusiasm that marked her childhood. After her first child, she joined the fast-paced television advertising industry, as an intern, and honed her promotional skills at American Cablesystems (soon to be Continental Cable, MediaOne, AT & T Broadband, and now Comcast). Under her promotion and direction at MediaOne, her team generated a five-fold increase in ad sales over a three year period. As Promotions Manager, she successfully managed the company’s events and local ad sales promotions of ESPN, MTV, HGTV, A&E and other major cable networks, earning a reputation for herself as a meticulous, talented and reliable events manager. Projects ranged from parties at the Boston Harbor Hotel, to rock n’ roll incentive trips for contest winners, to celebrity appearances (including real people and real animals as well as to children’s very real characters like Dora the Explorer, Sponge Bob, and Angelica). Each quarter presented new opportunities for creative corporate work. In 2002, Robin founded her own promotions and events business. Since that time, Robin has enjoyed building Partner Promotions into a highly respected boutique promotions and event staffing company serving New England. Despite the hectic schedule and the demands of supervising a professional staff, Robin still finds time for her hobbies, including world travel and bee keeping. She also supports a number of charitable causes, and confesses to a particular soft-spot for animal groups since adopting her sheltie, Lucy, from a local animal shelter. |
